Tour Hannover, Germany Slowly

Two of my Lemon Recipe Postcards travelled to Hannover, Germany which inspired me to spend some time taking an armchair travel tour of the city.
All the cities in Germany are magnificent works of historic art and Hannover is no exception. But I have discovered each city has its own unique attractions and I was determined to learn what sets Hannover apart from others.
I was fascinated by the blend of ancient art and modern art that would have me snapping photographs at every turn if I was there in person. We can start with a short video tour of Hannover and you will see what I mean as we follow the "red line" past 36 interesting places through the city:

Urban Gardens and Parks are at the top of my list whenever I visit a city. I was anxious to learn about Hannover's Gardens.
Everything you read about Hannover talks about the Herrenhausen Gardens that are made up of The Great Garden, The Berggarten, The Georgengarten and The Welfengarten. I would plan on spending all day at this park.

Everyone wants to go to Berlin

Berlin is on just about everyone's list of cities they want to visit. Is it on your list?

One of the many events I remember about Berlin is seeing the news broadcast when the Berlin Wall dividing it into East and West was built back in 1961. Then I remember watching when the gates in the Berlin Wall were opened in 1989 and the Wall fell.

Let's take a step away from the history books and enjoy Berlin now in the 21st Century. First of all we will appreciate the beautiful forests and lakes throughout the Berlin region.

Party Time in Kirchheimbolanden, Germany

Kirchheimbolanden, Germany

Kirchheimbolanden is known as a small city with fun festivals. Everything you read about this interesting place they all say it is a city of historical sights and lots of partytime at the festivals.
I like to think of my Homemade Lemon Cake/Pudding Recipe being eaten at one of the festivals.
Maybe it will be served as a dessert after a meal of tender wild boar with red cabbage and knodels at the festival called Residenzfest. It is held on the second weekend of August every year.
They have a week long Beer Festival called the Bierwoche
Learn a few songs so you can join the party during your visit.

Willkommen! Volkmarsen is a small town in Waldeck-Frankenberg district in northern Hesse, Germany

After doing some research about Münster it is certainly on my list of places I would love to visit because of it's long rich history and it has embraced the 21st century with so much community zeal to promote a green, environmental friendly city. With superb planning they have raised the bar in creating a "green" city while preserving their history. I am excited to visit the places in Germany where my Lemon Recipe is now living. The first destination is Wisch, Niederelbe, Germany. Wisch, Niederelbe is a municipality in Germany's second largest state Lower Saxony. I am still a bit confused about the place called Wisch, Germany as the information in not clear about which Wisch, Germany the recipe may have gone to. I will do more research and come back to edit.
Next stop is the city of Gladbach, Germany. I quickly learn that the complete name is Bergisch-Gladbach and that is is situated located east of the river Rhine, approx. 10 kilometers east of Cologne.
